Hello everyone,

My GE top load washer recently began acting up. After a normal colors load it would not drain until I started a “spin and drain” cycle. Well today the spin and drain cycle will not work either. I place the washer into drain and spin, there is an initial blast of some water from the top where it fill, then no sound for the remaining of the cycle. The washer then displays that the cycle is done however there was no draining of water or spinning.

Please help!

Thank you!
Andrew

Update:

After checking tube and verifying it was not clogged, verifying proper voltage on circuit board and pump, I’ve reconnected everything and it is now spinning and humming. I will not the connector on the motherboard for the drain/spin cycle didn’t seem to be all the way in which was odd…

Could this have just been a fluke? Should I replace pump?

Hi,

**My GE top load washer**

Model#?
https://www.applianceaid.com/model-number.php Some model# helps.

**Could this have just been a fluke?**

Maybe an off-balanced load vibrated the connector loose?

Thankx.

**Should I replace pump?**

If it is working ok, I would not....but if it has any strange noises, working intermittently, getting power but not running I would change it out.

LINK> Drain Pump Assembly.
Link also has video help to R&R the drain pump.
