so my evaporator fan in my GE GTH18ECTZRWW is loose and hitting the housing. The fan blade is fine, but the spindle attaching it to the motor is loose. My question is two part.

1 do i just need to replace the entire motor?

2 is the evaporator fan and condenser fan motor the same? The evaporator fan motor looks identical to the condenser fan in the repair vid for the GTH18ECTZRWW GE fridge

Snakeeyesma81, the fan motor WR60X31522 would need to be replaced in this case. It is also worth checking the rubber grommets WR02X12008 to make sure they have not worn out from the motor imbalance. While the condenser fan looks similar to the evaporator fan, they have different operating parameters.
