I have a maytag neptune electic dryer that just started acting funny. And no it doesnt make us laugh. While drying without much heat now even though the "New" switch is on high the dryer will make a perodical clunk like the drum has hit a pot hole. It is not rythmic in nature however. The dryer will almost stall when it makes the clunk sound and every now and then the dryer will stall and be DOA for about 30 seconds. After that the dryer can be restarted.
Any ideas on what could be causing this? The dryer is 10 years old and othere then the temperature switch being replaced that is the only issue we have had.....with the dryer that is.
Thanks
