I have a Whirlpool refrigerator w/ the french doors, slide out frig drawer and slide out freezer on the bottom, model WRX986SIHZ. The light will periodically dim or only some will work and eventually they will stop altogether. The rest of the unit appears to be okay. If I unplug it and let it reset they will start to work properly again. The frig is 6 years old.

Sadly this has been a problem since new and it got the 'one of these days' I'll get it looked at.

I did report it to Whirlpool while it was still under warranty but we just didn't make time to get a repair person out to see it.

I have caught a rumor that there may have been more people than just me with this problem?
