I have a Frigidaire FFU14F5HWF upright freezer. It is in my basement, unit is clean, the "Hi Temp" light came on and was beeping 2 weeks ago. I hit the alarm reset button and turned the control down. all was well. now it came back on. freezer is cool, but not freezing. Interior fan is working, compressor is running and very hot. I unplugged the unit for a day. there was a small puddle of water under the unit. I plugged it back in, It cooled down, but won't freeze. I pulled off the cover for the condenser, there was slight frost build up right at the defrost switch. Does anyone have any ideas? I am very mechanical, but I have never worked on appliances. I don't want to buy a new freezer if it's a cheap fix.
