I recently obtained a McQuay Model CCH-023B freezer that I planned to turn into a smoker. But since it runs I'm considering putting it back to work as a smoker. It needs a fitting and a recharge yet to be sure. It has the original cut in cut out pressure switch for the compressor instead of a thermostat.

Questions:

1. I see some pressure switches that are used in place of a cut in cut out, would that work and if so which one?

2. If I want to use the existing cut in cut out, I am missing the fitting from the low pressure line where it attaches. ( original was broken).

I sure can find much info online about how these worked, any info in greatly appreciated!

Doesn't look like I can upload photos without a photo hosting account, but would be happy to share some via email if anyone is willing to help.

Thanks!
