I have a LG dryer whose heat keeps turning off. I think it got heat up too many times due to lint build up and some part inside (thermostat?) stopped working. So now, it periodically shuts off. I can hit a button to reset it (accessible through side panel hole) while it’s running, (with a flashlight and wooden spatula handle!) and it will heat again for a time, but it won’t stay running. Is there a thermostat or some other part that needs replacing to keep the heat functioning without this button needing to be consistently reset?
My unit is LG 305KWHX8R177
