When it failed, it lit up random LED elements, some flashing some solid on.
I did a power cycle reset (breaker-off, then breaker-on), now I have only the flashing colon from the time portion of the display.

Pretty certain this is a failed computer, but the thing is only 2 years old. I'm not super excited about needing to purchase a new computer + do the installation labor every couple of years. Is this a common problem? Is there a recall? Is it just me? :(

P.S. I also can't figure out what part(s) are needed by looking through the parts for it.
