2009 Kitchenaid KEMS308SSS00 combo oven microwave. 1- Microwave worked, but suddenly stopped heating food very much at all. No failure codes on screen. Manually asked for 100%, but same result. 2- Replaced Magnetron with new. Install went fine. 3- First attempt ran for 30 seconds, and failed. "Code F1E5 replace inverter" appears on screen. Disconnected power and rebooted system (waiting several minutes between each step to allow full reboot). Same result.
Does this progression of events help identify the root cause? I hope to avoid replacing the inverter, when it could be as simple as clearing a code- or checking a wire harness. It very well could be the inverter- but this failure code did not happen with old magnetron. Also- why would new magnetron bring this code to light?
