My top loading whirlpool washer is just over one year old. Go figure. At the end of the spin cycle, it has a very loud grinding sound, and when I say loud, I mean loud it’ll continue until I push the pause button for three seconds, or the times out by the timer, and shuts off totally.

I did watch one video on grinding, but it had to do with the wash plate during the agitation cycle. I checked my wash plate and it seems very firm on the transmission shaft and will not spin freely. Can you instruct me what is my possible problem in what part I should order. Thank you.
