I was given the above washer by a friend who said it probably needs repair. I have checked it over so far but have not connected up the hoses or plugged it in to the 110 volt outlet. The belt shows a little wear but is still in decent shape. The agitator is able to spin freely by hand . My older model 10 year old Speed Queen with an agitator does not allow the agitator to turn freely when it is turned off . I am looking for info as to what this machine is supposed to do when it is turned on. It has 2 rotating dials for temperature and load size plus a rotating dial for the cycle selection. It also has an on/off switch for the extra rinse . It looks like a good quality unit in clean condition except for a broken plastic bracket in the area under the tub which contains the electronic controls but I would like to know what to expect . Can anyone help with info ?.

I goofed in that this entry should have been in the washer section and not here in the dryer section.
