Hello, we have a Frigidaire FGUS2642LF1 side by side built in 2011 in our home in Costa Rica. No repair people down there seem to know how to work on this fridge. I'd like to buy parts here from appliancepartspros.com and bring them down to Costa Rica with me next time I go down there to install myself. It seems almost everything I look up on the internet deals with the reverse situation that I have - most are warm fridge but cold freezer. I don't have that, I have what seems to be a rare situation, cold fridge but warm freezer. I was always under the impression that the freezer got cooled, and the fridge used the cold air from the freezer to cool the fridge. I guess not?

I'm home in TX as I write this, I have my wife down in Costa Rica now by the fridge. Perhaps the freezer actually is cold, but the digital temp reading on the door is off? I told her to look for a small thermometer to place inside the freezer to see what the actual internal freezer temp really is. Anyone have any ideas on what this could be and what I need to buy to bring down there with me? Warm freezer / cold fridge seems to be uncommon.
