I have an LG WM2442HW front loading washing machine - It is the unit with the controls recessed like a traditional top loader, not with the controls in front. A couple of weeks ago the bearings seized. I picked up the bearing kit. Upon opening the unit and taking the rotor assembly off I saw that the stator assembly and the rotor position sensor switch were damaged. Also saw that two of the magnets in the rotor assembly were cracked but otherwise it looked ok. I ordered the stator assembly and the rotor position sensor switch, and continued to take the washer apart. I was able to replace the bearings and started to put the unit back together, stopping when I got to installing the stator assembly. Upon receiving the additional parts I finished putting the unit back together. I plugged it in and ran a cycle to test if everything was ok. The machine filled up with water. When the drum went to agitate (or spin) it did not move, and the code "LE" came on the display. I tried again with the same result. Upon looking through the forum I saw a number of posts stating new rotor position sensor switches tend to be faulty from the manufacturer, so I ordered another one. I installed it and tried again with the same result. I wanted to know if there is anything else I can check or replace before I order the rotor assembly or have a technician come in to repair.
