I replaced our JennAir electric cooktop with a new KitchenAid gas cooktop. The downdraft fan literally pulls the more trigger toward the fan, casings he uneven cooking. I have to move the food and pan toward the fan to follow the heat. Our old JennAir handled the smoke and odors but did not seem to pull the heat away. (Of course the pan sat directly on the coils.) Any ideas?

The fan sucks the flame, even on the lowest setting, causing uneven cooking. Any fixes?
