I am trying to install a new gas cooktop. The cutout is the correct size and I have clearance underneath. One corner won't go down to the countertop. This is due to the top surface and the bottom pan not being evenly together. Is this just a press fit? Can I maybe use a large c-clamp with a piece of wood (so as not to scratch the surface) to press the corner that doesn't fit flush?

It would be #16 and #46.
