Hello all - we have a Maytag MHW5500FW1 that is six years old. Never had an issue with it until yesterday. It gave an E01\F09 code. I looked that up and it says drain/pump issue.

I cleaned the drain hose and removed some debris. I also cleaned the pump trap. It too had some debris but nothing major.

I then ran a handful of towels and everything went well. Then on the 2nd load, it ran along fine and then all of a sudden it threw the same code. Unplugged and sat for a while and when I restarted it, pump came on and it drained. So it seems that the pump is working and able to move water and the trap and drain hose are clean.

Any ideas?
