I have a Bosch Model 500 (SHPM65W56N/11) dishwasher which is between one and two years old.

A few months ago, it suddenly would not turn on when pressing the power button. It acted as if it was receiving no power. I checked the power, and it was fine. After checking a few things, I turned off the breaker and back on again, but it didn't come back on. Based upon some hint I found online, I turned the breaker off and left it off for a while, then turned it back on. The dishwasher then worked.

It worked for several months and then suddenly wouldn't turn on again. I tried the "breaker trick" but that didn't fix it. For the last week or so it will not turn on. However, during this time when it hasn't worked, it randomly and momentarily will turn on spontaneously for about 10 to 60 seconds, do something, and then shut down again and be unresponsive to the power button again.

I replaced the power button and interestingly the dishwasher ran for about 10 minutes. Then it shown down again and wouldn't turn on any more.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm thinking it's probably a faulty control module.
