My dishwasher started making a really loud high pitched noise mid wash cycle yesterday. It fills and drains properly. When the circulation motor kicks in, it works for a while, but at some point, it starts making the high pitched squealing noise and the washer arms stop moving. When I open it, there is considerably less water in than when it filled, so I’m thinking that the motor is just spinning freely without any water which is making the high pitched noise. I don’t even know where to start looking to try to determine where I’m losing water. There’s no leaking onto the floor or anything, I’ve cleaned out everything that’s easily accessible, and everything is in good shape.
