I have a Capri Gas Range, model 61091. When the oven heats up the oven door falls open about ½". This of course causes problems with the temperature, as well as causes the oven dials to become very hot from the escaping heat. Would this be caused by worn out door springs? If so, is it possible to get those parts?

Thank you for your help!

Sorry about that. The complete number model number is 911-6108912. It's probably from around 1990 or so? When I look in the manual the hinge part number is 3323346 and the door spring is 342304. I just don't know if this would fix the problem, and I have seen those part numbers available anywhere.

Thanks

I looked at the diagram for the oven you linked to and it looks like the diagram the manual for my oven. It looks like the hinges are available but not the springs. I'm thinking that since the door starts out closed, but as it heats up it hangs open about ½" that maybe it's the spring stretching out as it gets hot? Just not sure.
