About a year ago, we bought a new GE range. There were terrible fumes the first time we used it, and we discovered a piece of burned insulation that should have been removed on installation. By then it was black and flat, like a burned deck of cards. (I can't figure out how to attach a photo). Since then, the oven continues to stink when used--it does not seem to burn off but seems rather "baked into" the oven itself. Concern about safety as well as smell, which also is on the taste of some food. I am inclined to try to get an exchange. Do you agree? Are there other things to try? Thank you.
