With some loads, the dryer makes a clunking sound.

I inherited the dryer in 2010 and replaced the rear felt seal in 2017 and we moved it upstairs from the basement. Last year I noticed the clunking noise and replaced the drum rollers but this had no effect.

Taking it apart, I can now see that that the drum can move fore/aft enough to cause the lower left drum roller to bang into the retainers.

I see three possible parts to replace: rear felt, bearing ring, and front panel felt.

Wondering if I could get way with just replacing front panel felt or do I need to do the rear again? The bearing ring seems fine.

Thanks.
