update: after pulling out drawers and getting a better look, it appears that it's leaking somewhere at the top of the "water tank assembly". water tank assembly link

are there any serviceable areas at the top of that tank or is just a replace only item?

update final: after removing the plastic water tank, it appears that the tank is not serviceable. it did have a good size pin hole in it. i ordered a new water tank assembly from AAP (see link above). after installing the tank, the leak was fixed. oddly enough, the water was still not dispensing afterwards. turns out, the reason it was not dispensing was because the water line was froze up at the dispenser. after taking care of the ice clog, everything worked perfectly. one thing i found out that i wasn't aware of, if you have an ice clog like that, it builds up quite a bit of pressure on the lines and tank. could be why the water tank failed. i used this tool to unclog the ice in the line. it made it really easy. water line buddy
