I have an older top loading roper washer that started to be really loud when it was washing and would agitate very little so I bought an agitator repair kit and replaced it but it didn't help at all really. It did help with the noise a little but it still seems to be louder than before and it still barely agitates. It moves a little but not enough to move the clothes around and wash them.
