My mom has the listed KitchenAid. Recently they noticed it was getting warm in the refrigerator and freezer. They called a repairman. Both compartment's evaporators were frozen solid. They were told to let it thaw over 4 days. Then, to keep it from happening again, reset the refrigerator on a monthly basis by unplugging it for a few minutes. I think this sounds insane and suspect that either the thermistor or defrost cycle timer may be defective. But I thought I'd see if anyone else knows of this. And advice would be wonderful. Thanks!
