I have a maytag W10754448, just barely over a year old and right outside of warranty as luck would have it... I'm not having a ton of luck diagnosing my current problem after hours of googling. The washer seems to function perfectly normal right up until the last minute of the spin cycle... right as the spin cycle ends, something clicks over and I get a loud grinding noise. Spin works fine, gets up to speed, water pumps out, everything functions as usual until that last minute. If I push the power button when the grinding starts, it goes into the cycle cancel mode and the noise immediately stops... Really stumped if the culprit would be the clutch, or if there is a brake issue if it tries to slow the drum down as the final step or what... It seems like something is trying to engage in that final step of the spin cycle, for some reason, but it's doesn't engage or disengage correctly. Any thoughts or direction on what the likely culprit is?
