Trying to replace a Belt Retainer on WED7300XW0

I need to change the Belt Retainer (part #WP3393657 (AP6008329)) on my Whirlpool Cabrio WED7300XW0. I watched the how-to video, and my model doesn't have anything to use a socket wrench on to counter screw the motor pulley off (at this point in the video for reference How To: Whirlpool/KitchenAid/Maytag Belt Retainer WP3393657); it is just a threaded shaft with nothing to grip onto. How do I remove the motor pulley? Is there a trick or tool I'm not aware of? EDIT: To be more clear, I do not have what I think is called a flywheel (the silver dish like apparatus) at the opposing end from the motor pulley that I am trying to get off, just a threaded shaft up to the pulley that runs the belt to the blower.
