2year old Kenmore washer, made by Maytag. The glass lid on the washer shattered for no apparent reason. My wife put in a load of whites last night and when she went to put laundry into the dryer she screamed, "THE WASHER BLEW UP". Went to see what she was so excited about, found the glass top of the washer shattered into what seemed to be a million peaces. Looking around for something that may have fallen onto it but found nothing. I don't know why or how this could happen. Does anyone know how the lid comes off or maybe a guide as to repair it? I put clear packing tape on both the outside and the inside of the glass, to hold it in place. It looks like a shattered windshield, with the safety glass in tiny pieces. HELP.
