Hey guys, new to the forum. I’ve got a whirlpool 15 inch standalone icemaker there’s in the house I just bought. The unit was unplugged I stripped it down completely (pulled it into about 60 pieces) and cleaned it and it was nasty.. Anyways cleaning cycle ran fine on it. When I go to make ice it is just continually filling the water been which is draining out the overflow tube. I left it on for three hours and it just steadily ran water. I’m thinking maybe it is a bad Waterfill sensor and it is not telling the control panel that it is full on water and does not need any more? Does anyone have any experience with something like this.

FYI I am not an appliance repair person but am VERY mechanically inclined and like to fix everything I own myself. I’m just not super familiar on the functions of each individual part of the unit to know what may be making it want to do this. I will get a video and post a link to what it is doing.

Thanks in advance,
Spencer
