I have a whirlpool isc23cnexy02 split section fridge. It stops dispensing water intermittently.
Ice dispepnsing and accumulation is fine, which leads me to believe that the main water supply to the fridge is fine.
When the lever to dispense water is pushed I can hear the pump/acruator kicking in, but no water comes out.
My wife is convinced that something is freezing in the line. I have noticed that emptying the ice bucket completely sometimes gets water to flow again.
I have also noticed that changing the water filter gets the water to flow again. But changing the filter does not always work and changing those filters every day is kind of a waste, I think they are supposed to go for a few months at least.
Any insights or suggestions on how to troubleshoot this issue?
Troubleshooting while water is dispensed is not possible, and when it is blocked, I am not sure what areas to inspect.
Thank you.
