Hi, I recently purchased a used Frigidaire refrigerator/freezer side-by-side. The top of the freezer and the refrigerator are considerably warmer than the bottom. With the current settings, the freezer side is about 3 degrees F at the bottom and the refrigerator side is about 17 degrees F at the bottom (froze some can drinks I had close to the bottom). The top of the freezer section is close to freezing temperature and the top of the refrigerator is 40-45F. I completely defrosted it when I brought it home. There was ice build up in the air return at the bottom of the refrigerator now that I think about it. I pulled the panel and I can see the evapcoils have some icing on them and the evaporator fan seems to pulse. I am not sure if the evaporator fan is supposed to pulse like this or not. Here is a video of the evaporator fan: Evap fan running. This is what the evaporator coils look like: If they fan is supposed to operate like that, any other ideas? Defrost problem maybe? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Edited by user Tuesday, February 23, 2021 6:33:04 PM(UTC)
