The electric heating element for the integrated grill/griddle in my Thermador GCV36V gas cooktop no longer works. The element itself is OK (10 ohms), there is 120v AC to ground at both terminals of the receptacle block, and I tried roughing up the contacts a bit as well. That leaves the infinite switch that is no longer available (Bosch part # 00414569)-- this is a 35 year old cooktop. The cooktop uses 120v AC, not 220, and the switch is rated for 120v 15amp. Other posts on similar subjects are not too promising, and the agent at AppliancePartsPros was not able to make a recommendation.
Any advice about where I might find a suitable replacement for the switch. Thanks.
