The wire that connects the heating element to the high limit thermostat in my Maytag PYE4557AYW has suffered heat damage and needs to be replaced (I am also replacing the heating element, high limit thermostat, thermal fuse, and cycling thermostat to address the cause of the damage). I would like to verify the specifications of the wire; I'm not sure whether or not the wire that had been in the machine is the original wire installed by the manufacturer.

The wire (red wire, about 10" long) is UL 3173; 14 AWG; 600 V; 125° C. On either end, there is a quick disconnect terminal which I believe is 1/4" and rated for high temperatures. Are these specs correct? And if so, since there does not appear to be an OEM part available, are there any suggestions as to where I can obtain only a couple feet of the wire (I'd rather not buy a full spool) in a contact-free manner?

Incidentally, the red wire that connects to the second terminal on the heating element is also 14 AWG, 600 V; but it is only listed for 105° C.

Thanks!
