I have replaced the Dryer Rollers, Belt and Idler Pulley, along with the heating element, and all thermostats and sensors. After about three loads the drum started getting very stiff to turn.
I tried lubricating the rollers/pulleys and shafts with white silicone but it got stiff again after a load. Read online that powdered graphite was best, but that only lasted another two loads, before the rollers and pulley got so stiff the belt snapped.
Replaced the belt and tried using white lithium grease, and that lasted another four loads before getting stiff again. Before breaking another belt, I have resorted to using automotive bearing grease, but after another two loads, it's already getting stiff again.
Any ideas what would cause this?
