We have an older GE Spectra oven/range. Model # JBP82TF1.
Everything works fine except the UP button for the oven temp has stopped working on the touch pad. We tried accessing the control panel since many repair videos suggest cleaning the oxidation off of the ribbon cables with an eraser. Ours has NO ribbon cables, so I don't know what to clean. I'm assuming it's not just the overlay on the panel, that it must be the little button/knob underneath that is malfunctioning. Is there any hope of fixing this without replacing the entire control panel (which we may not be able to find due to the age of the oven)?
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks! - Tina
