We have a 16 year old Quiet Series 100 that would fill with water, then not automatically advance through the cycles. I searched the internet for a solution & concluded the controller (timer) was malfunctioning. Looking at the machine, I can't imagine anything else being the problem - this is the brains of the machine. This machine is not digital at all - no lights - all plug-in module stuff. So I purchased a new controller for this machine from a reputable parts house near us - to the tune of $175.00.
I installed it tonight - VERY simple straightforward install. The new part installed, same thing is happening - no fix. The tub will fill with water to desired setting, hot water/cold water adjustment works fine, & once the tub is filled it automatically kicks into agitation mode, but will not advance on its own to the next stage, which is to drain the tub & spin, then refill for rinse, then spin & discharge water, then done. I have to manually click to advance to the next cycle each time. IS MY NEW TIMER BAD, or am I missing something here?
