I recently purchased this over range microwave and set the blower to blow air out the front vent above the door.
When looking at the vent though it looks to be missing the part that looks like a vent and just has large holes that I can stick my hand into and see / touch filter.
The old microwave that was taken out has little strips of plastic going across the whole vent so that sticking anything in there is not very easy.

Am I missing something in this vent?....see photo below on how the vent looks. Shouldnt the whole area from Left to right look like the area on the right?
