Whirlpool washer shuts off in wash/agitation cycle

Washer stops during wash/agitation cycle.
Wash light remains lit (green), door light (red) is off and door is unlocked.
(Successful completion of cycle ends with 'Done' light lit, and red light off/door unlocked.)
Lifting the lid does not turn off the wash light.
Pressing the start button results in the cycle beginning again.
I have gone through the various steps - resetting by unplugging the cord being first.
I entered the diagnostic mode via the L-R-R-R-L-R dial turn.
I ran the check for error codes. There were no error codes.
I manually checked each function - cold and hot water, low and high spin, low and high agitation, and drain pump. All turned off and on and worked properly.
I then ran the machine’s self-test function. It ran though that completely with no issue.
I tried the ‘Drain/Spin’ function on the selector dial, and it seemed to work properly. I haven’t tried any of the other non-wash functions on the dial (soak, rinse/spin).
I have tried the Regular, Light, and Quick Wash functions all with the same result as above.
Amy ideas? Thanks in advance!
The washer is a Whirlpool WTW4950XW3
