Hello all,

I am a beginner to fixing appliances. I have not experienced this before.

I have an amana BG21VW-P1325013WW . It was working just fine until I cleaned it and replaced the door seals. I really got it wet, and I let it sit for 2 days to dry.

The only things that work on it are the lights. I thought it was the dial thermostat, it wasn't.

I only have lights. The compressor doesn't run, the condenser fan doesn't work, and the evaporator fan doesn't work. I hear a slight click when I plug it in. I tested the compressor for resistance and it appears good.

I am wondering if this is a run capacitor issue? Maybe a start capacitor? Unfortunately, I spent too much money on it to give up on it now.

TIA.

Tom

I now have TWO Amana refrigerators doing the exact same thing. Anyone? Buhler?

I figured it out with the help of another forum. It was the defrost timer that was stuck/broken.
