Hi folks-
I've become an amateur dishwasher repairman, trying to use my masters in EE for something practical for a change. My Bosch SHE43RL6UC/64 won't fill. At first I thought it wasn't heating, so I performed every possible test on the control board relays, heating element, high limit switch.
Then I tested the inlet valve and it was in fact slow. Bought & installed a new one, still no fillup. I checked the float switch, it seems fine. I can hear the drain pump start to work when I push up the float lever.
My inlet valve works with 120V on it. My voltage sense pen tells me there is voltage on the inlet valve when the washer starts up, but no water flows in.
Is this a control board problem? All the relays on the board click nicely when 5V is applied.
Thanks for any thoughts. Scott Ferguson Aiken, SC

Following up on my own question, when the dishwasher starts, I measure only 40V on the inlet valve controls. Any idea why this voltage is low? Pinched wire in the harness? Dying control board? Any specific component on the board?
Thanks again all! Scott
