Hi all,

My GE side by side model above is popping what could be popcorn and has been for awhile. It's beyond the normal expansion/contraction noises. At first I thought it was the ice maker, but after turning that off, it still does it. So I've been researching evaporators or evaporator fans. My temps are set at 0 and 36 but this morning the temps were 5 and 40. I guess it's not cooling enough now. The popping is loud enough to sometimes wake us (light sleeper) and is intermittent. Also, I do hear the fan running quite a lot. Anyone have this problem or suggestions where to start? I was going to call a repair place, but figured if someone had this issue before, maybe it's just a part?
