KitchenAid stainless dishwasher KDFE104DBL2 bought Jan 2016. Kondone door gasket W10300924 ($19) installed Jun 2020.

After about four a half years I noticed several drops of water on floor below bottom right of the door after a wash. Assumed it was the door gasket so bought/installed new gasket. Leak continued, actually a little worse. I did a thorough inspection.

Observations:
1.Seam at top center of gasket track had 1/16" gap.
2.Gasket track 1/16" gap at upper right curve against inner wall.
3.New gasket (Kondone) is thicker/heavier than original.

Actions:
1.JBWaterWeld epoxy putty to fill gaps at top center seam and upper right curve (avoiding putty in the gasket track).
2.Reinstalled original (used) gasket.

Result:
1.No leak.

Conclusions/Opinions/Assumptions/Unknowns:
1.Water forced behind gasket track through the gaps bypassed the primary sealing surface.
2.Replacement gasket being heavier/thicker was less flexible than original so could not conform as readily to non-uniform track.
3.I do not know if the Kondone replacement is thicker than the more expensive factory replacement.
4.I do not know if the gasket-track gaps were original or have widened over the years, but the leak has stopped so I'm happy.
