Hello everyone, This is my first post here and looking forward to start repairing my own appliances.

I currently have a Samsung top load washing machine that is giving me problems once in a while. I have had it where it continues to fill without stopping. It has put water on the floor a couple of times but we have been fortunate to be home and was able to turn it off before damage was done.

Today I started a load and when it started to fill it was making a weird humming noise. I turned it off but it continued to fill. I powered it back on and then off again to see if the water would turn off but it just continued to fill.

I'm assuming that I will need to replace the Water Valve Assembly but wanted to get the opinion of people that actually may have some experience with this type of thing and know what they are doing.

Thanks
