Wife tried to start the upper oven on Easter morning, beep beep, then the display died. Nothing. We had to cook with the toaster oven and microwave so all was not a total wash out.

Today I opened the unit up, verified AC power 220 at the unit. Nothing appears to have burned or left any visible traces of damaged components or wiring.

Lurking about the internet I found this forum and a quick search found a similar problem that led me to a bad thermal fuse for the control panel. To test that I put in a temporary wire jumper for that fuse.

When I reset the AC breaker the oven control panel came back on, indicated PF and displayed
the time. So far so good, checked to set the upper oven to BAKE 350 and no joy. The display came up with what I suppose is an error code, E2 F2 E2. I have no clue what that error code is so maybe somebody can point me to a source.

That other post had suggested to also check the thermal fuse (located on the rear)for continuity (P6-3, P6-4 to the terminal block with the RED wire). I did and I read continuity (19, 22 ohms back to the terminal block, RED wire) so its not an open circuit.

Situation calls for a repair as I am unable to find a suitable replacement double oven (my Boss is particular about what she will accept as a replacement!!). Under COVID 19 conditions Whirlpool factory production is in limbo for now. Consumer stock is what is available from distributors which means slim pickins...

Also know that replacement parts for my old Whirlpool double oven can make a repair impossible unless the bad part just happens to be one that's available, or has a suitable substitute that can be found.

That's my story so far... Can somebody help with the error code? I can work the problem, just need the guidance from others that know more than me! Thanks Carl
