I have a whirlpool french door fridge, model gi5svaxvb00.

When dispensing water, it comes out at a high velocity and sprays water out of the cup / glass. I've resorted to throttling back the total flow by tightening the valve on the supply line, but then the volume / flow rate is so low it takes forever to dispense.

I swear when this fridge was newer that we didn't have this problem. A lot of water came out, slowly.
Now, it's like when you put your thumb partially on the end of a garden hose. Makes me think I have buildup in the line, very close to or actually in the dispenser nozzle.

If there really is buildup in the nozzle, then it looks like I have to buy the whole chute assembly PS11738679 as the nozzle is part of that assembly/

Other ideas?
