All,

I have a Jenn-Air (Maytag/Whirlpool) JFC2089HES Refrigerator (French Doors, Bottom Mount Freezer) that stopped dispensing water late 2019. When pressing the button (or attempting to make ice) I can hear a slight electrical hum and quickly zeroed in on the valves. I ordered replacement solenoid valves and went ahead and replaced the water lines and filter mount assembly. All worked well.

Now here I am in April 2020 and no water....but I do have ice.

When clicking the switch, I hear the physical switch click, but I do not hear the valves actuate. I tested the voltage on the control wires and got 120vac. When I tested the switch for continuity, I was getting variable resistance on closed. I ordered a new switch.

I removed the switch and took it apart and the oxidation is pretty heavy on the contact. In hindsight, I probably could have just cleaned it and saved $20.

Hopefully the new switch solves the problem and this will be an easy fix.
