Whirlpool MOD: WFG524SLAB2, SR#:R40610924

When set to bake at example 425, the oven will start to heat and then at a random temp and/or random time will stop heating and will cool down. I was fortunate enough to notice this and can hear the oven try to heat back up: it starts to click then I hear the gas star to flow then I hear the gas ignite, as soon as it ignites the gas shuts off; a minute or two later the cycle repeats and eventually stops altogether. While this is happening the display says its on and basically working properly.

I’m stumped because I can hear the gas ignite just to have the gas turned off.

I’ve had other problems with this junky oven and have had to order ignition wires for the bake “starter” because the bake part would never turn on even though I can hear it clicking. The broiler and top burners have never had problems.

Thanks
