I successfully replaced the drain pump on my Bosch dishwasher using parts and video from ApplicancePartsPros. My Bosch goes through the full cycles and seems to function perfectly. EXCEPT, there remains about 3 inches of DIRTY water in the filter compartment (below the floor of the dishwasher and the metal plate surrounding the filter). This dirty water contributes to the clean water in the next cycle. Is this normal? I don't see how this remaining water can be drained since there is no outlet at the bottom of the filter compartment. Maybe I just never noticed this before? But if it's normal it's a design flaw.
Thank you,
Karl

I don't think it s normal, maybe you should have your dishwasher checked by a repair service. Last month I had a problem with my Bosch dishwasher, dishes didn’t get cleaned, I couldn't even understand why and I couldn't fix that problem by myself. I was recommended to apply to this company: https://appliancerepairinpittsburgh.com/ I called them and described the problem, the master quickly defined what was the damage. It took him a short time to repair my dishwasher, and I don't have such a problem as you described. Perhaps this could be caused by some kind of error while the assembly and it is worth calling a repair-man to rebuild your machine again. Edited by user Thursday, April 16, 2020 11:54:07 AM(UTC)
