Because our touch panel seemed to be non-functional, we ordered a replacement circuit board "module" for our Bosch range. As notes for future customers with the same issue, before ordering a new "module," from the rear of the oven, first remove the metal back panel behind the touch pad area. You'll then see the four screws holding the circuit board in place from the back. BUT, you'll note that the circuit panel is still being held in place by the front panel's rotating knob. If you look at Bosch's part diagram, it implies that the black rotating knob and its silver sleeve is simply slipped on. This is not true, and my effort with a plastic pry tool to remove both the knob and sleeve, actually snapped off a portion of the circuit board rotating control shaft -- damaging that original circuit board control -- making the board's replacement mandatory. So before removing the four spring-loaded screws from back, simply pull the front panel black rotating knob straight back to get it off. Then, to remove the silver sleeve, use pliers to unscrew the nut holding the silver sleeve onto the shaft coming from the circuit board. Only after doing this should you remove the back screws, and you'll find the circuit board easy to remove. At this point, if your Bosch is like ours, you may note that the bracket (onto which the four screws fasten) is actually held onto the front panel by double-stick tape run vertically on the left and right of the bracket. If as in our case, the tape has come loose, press the bracket firmly back into place -- we actually had to replace the tape because it did not hold!). In the end, the bracket tape coming lose may be the bulk of your problem because if the capacitive touch-sensitive panels of the circuit board are NOT pressed against the touch panel, touching the front panel buttons will have no effect. Hope this helps others! Edited by user Wednesday, October 16, 2019 3:22:55 PM(UTC)
