I have a stuck range burner valve that I need to repair or replace. I can’t figure out how to open the top of the range to access the valves. I removed the two screws at the front and was able to lift the top slightly, and even pull it out a couple of inches. Neither provided enough room to access the valves, or anything else. I don’t want to force anything and damage any gas piping. Can anyone tell me how to get access to the valves?
It is a Maytag gas double oven freestanding unit, model Mgr6751bdw.
A related question. Two valves parts are listed for this range. I assume one is for the normal 3 burners and the other for the higher btu burner. The higher btu burner is the one that is stuck. Which valve part is the correct one?
Thanks,
Dave
