We just bought this refrigerator as a scratch and dent....otherwise brand new with a 1 year manufacturers warranty.

I found a little piece rolling around in the fridge and kept it, not knowing what it was.

We just noticed last night that the mullion isn't "closing" (sealing when the doors shut) all the time.

There is a little white button on the top of the mullion that is spring loaded and most of the time, doesn't catch on the guide to close properly.

Is the door not adjusted properly? Is a spring missing?

I found where the little piece belonged...it was the middle cap on the mullion hinge. Was there supposed to be a spring there?

If not, where does the spring belong? Is the button on the mullion supposed to be spring loaded?

Could the door be too far to the left? The hinge side? So that it is not landing in the track properly?
